Steven Michels is professor of political science at Sacred Heart University, in Fairfield, CT, where he’s been since 2002. He’s also serving as associate dean for academic affairs and the director of the Institute for Public Policy and Civic Engagement in the College of Arts and Sciences there.

Born and raised in southeastern Michigan, which is a great place to be from, Steven has also lived, studied, and worked in Athens (GA), Chicago, New Haven, New York City, and New Haven again.

When he’s not on campus, Steven is probably listening to or playing music (especially with Missiles to Malta), following baseball and the Chicago Cubs, and cleaning up after his energetic and mostly awesome cat, Willa.
